The AAT1123 is a high efficiency, low dropout linear regulator designed for handheld devices. It can deliver up to 600mA of output current and has a low dropout voltage of 300mV at 600mA. The device has a very low quiescent current of 40uA, making it suitable for battery-powered devices. The AAT1123 also features over-temperature and over-current protection.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Input Voltage | 5.5V |
| Operating Temperature | -40 to 85°C |
| Storage Temperature | -40 to 150°C |
| Parameter | Condition | Min | Typ | Max | Unit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Output Voltage | Vin = 3V, Iout = 100mA | 1.5V | 1.8V | 2.1V | V |
| Dropout Voltage | Vin = 3V, Iout = 600mA | 200mV | 300mV | 400mV | mV |
The AAT1123 is designed for use in handheld devices where high efficiency and low dropout voltage are required. The device should be used with a suitable input capacitor to ensure stable operation.
The AAT1123 should be mounted on a suitable PCB with adequate thermal dissipation. The device is sensitive to moisture and should be stored in a dry environment.
The AAT1123 has a built-in over-temperature protection circuit that will shut down the device if the junction temperature exceeds 150°C. The device will automatically restart when the junction temperature falls below 120°C.
